Liberation Day Celebrations
The Old Government House Hotel is perfectly placed to welcome you to Guernsey’s most cherished annual celebration.
Liberation Day, held each year on 9th May, marks the island’s freedom from German occupation in 1945. It is a day filled with community spirit, remembrance and celebration, as the island comes alive with parades, music and festivities.
To celebrate, join us in the Brasserie and Lounge for a menu that celebrates the very best of Guernsey produce. Expect a true taste of the island, with much-loved local dishes such as Bean Jar, freshly caught fish and seafood, and traditional Gâche.
Whether you are joining us for a relaxed lunch between celebrations, gathering for dinner as the day draws to a close, or simply stopping in for a special Liberation Day cocktail in the Crown Club, we would be delighted to welcome you.
Date: Saturday 9th May (available all day)
