Andrew Chantrell

General Manager

achantrell@rchmail.com

Prior to joining the Red Carnation Hotel Collection in June 2009, I was Owner/Manager of the Brue at Lydford-on-Fosse, Somerset. Before that I had a number of very successful years with von Essen Hotels, as General Manager of the Ston Easton Park Hotel in Somerset and Congham Hall in Norfolk. I am very proud to lead a team of dedicated employees who are all genuinely committed to providing each individual guest with a memorable experience based upon warm, friendly and attentive service.

Holly Marquand

PA to the General Manager

hmarquand@rchmail.com

Having worked for the United Nations in Geneva for seven years I spent three years living and working in Johannesburg before moving to Guernsey in 1994. I joined The Old Government House Hotel & Spa in 1998 as the Conference and Banqueting PA and very soon I was running the department. I was Director of Meetings and Events at The OGH up until 2012 before becoming PA to Andrew. It is wonderful helping to ensure that Red Carnation Hotels’ high standards are upheld consistently throughout.

Director of Sales

gmabbett@rchmail.com

I started my career in hospitality working with Scottish Highland Hotels in the events team. In July 2019, I joined Red Carnation Hotels as Director of Sales for Guernsey representing the OGH and Duke of Richmond. I love the variety of my role working with the corporate and leisure industries interested in Guernsey as a destination and CI-based clients interested in properties across our impressive luxury collection.

Scott Bates

Reservations & Revenue Manager

revenuemanager@theoghhotel.com

My move to Guernsey and into Red Carnation is one of my proudest moments. Working for such an employee and guest-focused company has given me the chance to grow and progress from reservations agent to become the Revenue & Reservations Manager of the only five-star hotel in Guernsey. My team and I very much look forward to welcoming you to this gem of the Channel Islands and if I can personally assist with creating your reservation, please do let me know directly.

Harry Seepaul

Director, Guest Services

I have worked at this wonderful hotel for some 40 years now and I have been Director of Guest Services for about 20 of those years. As your Director of Guest Services I'm here to ensure that from the first moment you arrive at The OGH the hospitality and service you receive is a happy and memorable one. I take great pride in going the ‘extra mile' to make sure that you enjoy every aspect of your stay with us. I look forward to welcoming you soon.

Jaro Opletal

Guest Experience Manager

jopletal@theoghhotel.com

I joined The OGH as a luggage porter in July 2011. The knowledge about hospitality, which I was taught by The OGH team, has helped me to accomplish many achievements and in 2014 I was promoted to Head Concierge. In 2017, and after broadening my experience at other hotels, I re-joined The OGH team as Guest Experience Manager and am truly confident and dedicated to providing our guests with unique experiences so they can have memorable stays with us.

Spa Director

I have worked in the Beauty Industry both in the UK and abroad for over twenty years and in 2010 I joined The Old Government House Hotel & Spa. The Spa is a place where our guests and members can rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit with our extensive collection of treatments. As each of us is a unique being, our guests are treated as individuals with care and consideration. Both myself and my team are dedicated to making your Spa Experience a memorable one.

Michaela Ruzzon

Human Resources & Training Manager

hr@theoghhotel.com

On completion of my degree in Hospitality Management I worked in a variety of departments in hotels all over Europe. I joined The OGH in 2002 as Trainee Manager. After a year I was promoted to Personnel and Training Manager, a role which I have enjoyed developing for the hotel. Since The OGH became a Red Carnation Hotel it has been wonderful to implement such an extensive training programme for our dedicated team, and I look forward to helping new members of the team achieve their career goals.
